Departments and teams
Mirror your org chart so team-scoped permissions, routing and reports follow it.

Go to Settings, Departments & Teams.
1. Add departments
Type a name under Departments, for example Sales or Customer Service, and save.
2. Add teams
Add teams under Teams and put each in a department, or leave it with No department.
3. Tie a team to a pipeline
A team can work every pipeline or one pipeline. Pipelines are your business units, each with its own deal stages and deals.
Why does this matter?
- Permissions: a role with Team scope shows each person their team's records. See Roles and permissions.
- Routing: Assignment rules can send records to a team.
- People: each user's department is set under Users.
