Go to Settings, Security. These settings protect your own sign-in.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication?
Under Two-factor authentication, pick how to receive your code:
- Authenticator app (recommended): scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, 1Password or any TOTP app, then enter the 6-digit code and click Confirm and enable. It works offline and resists interception best.
- Email code: confirm your email with a 6-digit code.
- SMS code: enter your phone number with country code and confirm the code we text you.
Save the recovery codes you are given. Each one signs you in once if you lose your device.
How do I get new recovery codes?
Confirm your password and click Generate new codes. Your current codes stop working as soon as the new ones are issued.
How do I change my password?
Enter your current password and the new one under Password.
How do I sign out a lost device?
Active sessions lists every signed-in device, marked This device for the one you are on. Sign out any one, or click Sign out all other devices.
Where do I see sign-in attempts?
Login history shows each attempt with its result, device and time. Account activity shows sensitive changes to your account.
What about the whole workspace?
Every change across the workspace is in the Audit log.
