What is the limit?

300 requests per 15 minutes, counted per workspace across all its keys. The same limit covers the public REST API, the MCP server at api.quiqsol.com/mcp and the agent tools.

What happens when I go over?

The request returns 429 Too Many Requests with an error message. Every response carries RateLimit-Limit, RateLimit-Remaining and RateLimit-Reset headers, so you can slow down before you reach the limit.

How do I stay under it?

  • Ask for up to 100 records per call with limit instead of many small calls.
  • Sync changes, not full copies. POST /contacts with an externalId updates in place.
  • Back off and retry on 429 with a growing delay.
  • Read RateLimit-Remaining and pause a batch job when it runs low, so live integrations in the same workspace keep working.

Do public forms and chat have limits too?

Yes. Public form submissions, live chat and sign-in have their own limits to stop abuse. Normal visitors never reach them.
